Kokoda 2025
Thursday 15 May - Tuesday 27 May 2025
Join Eric Thauvette, CEO, Hartley Lifecare and Andrew Kerec, Owner Manager, Renaissance Building & Design as they take on the formidable Kokoda Trail in May 2025, all in the name of raising funds for Hartley Lifecare. This challenging journey will test you in more ways than you can plan for and also is a powerful way to support Hartley Lifecare's vital work.
Australia's number 1 bucket list adventure hike is known to be one of the toughest multi-day treks in the world.
On this adventure you'll hike the arduous Kokoda Trail, following the heroic story of our Australian Soldiers in 1942.
On our Hartley Lifecare Trek, not only will you walk with our CEO and our champion, Andrew Kerec, you’ll be led by a recently retired soldier, who with their own operational experience is able to take you from a bush walk across Kokoda to an emotionally engaging, once in a lifetime experience that you’ll never forget.
What this means to you is not only are you with a highly trained and competent bushman, but you're with someone who can regale the stories of the war with an understanding of what it's like to be in a similar, yet slightly different circumstance. This is what makes our Hartley Lifecare trek so unique. You will hear the stories of the men who fought on Kokoda and with your guide, will see it through their combat lens.
Your trek will follow the same track our soldiers fought on 85-years ago. You will be in similar conditions, over the exact same mountains, and this is what makes this trek so unique. It's a pilgrimage that bring those who complete it, the greatest levels of respect from family and peers at home.
The Hartley Lifecare trek commences on Friday 16 May 2025.
Challenge yourself and join us as you support AND raise money for Hartley Lifecare.
Costs:
The cost will be $4,300.00
You would be expected to raise money for Hartley over and above your trek costs. It is envisioned to be at least $5,000.00 that you would raise for Hartley.
