Volunteer Opportunities
There are plenty opportunities and roles when volunteerting at the Hartley Hall markets.
Even if you have volunteered with us before or not, we have plenty of freedom when choosing a volenter role that suits you!
Roles are felxiable and approximant, no two roles being the same.
Setup Saturday
- Assist events team in setting up furniture and signage
- Assist in cleaning common areas
- Checking stock levels and assisting manager in purchasing goods
Shift times: 8.30 am - 12.30 pm
Setup Sunday
- Putting out signage and equipment
- Setting up entrances
Shift times: 7.00 am - 10.00 am
Office
- Responding to enquiries from visitors and stallholders
- Assisting with radios and signage
- Checking in student volunteers
- Role is mostly sitting down, inside office
Shift times: 8.30 am - 11.30 am
11.30 am - 2.30 pm
BBQ
- Taking orders and serving food at the Hartley BBQ stand
- Monitoring stock levels
- Covering breaks for team cooking the BBQ.
Shift times: 8.30 am - 11.30 am
11.30 am - 2.30 pm
Parking
- Active and passive roles available
- Directing cars where to park in outdoor carpark (standing role)
- Monitoring disabled parking gate and directing where to park (seated role)
Shift times: 8.30 am - 1.30 pm
9.00 am - 12.00 pm
Radford College students volunteer at the Hartley Hall Markets each month as a part of the Radford College Service Learning curriculum.
The students provide assistance in setting up before the market, assisting at all entry points in greeting visitors to the Markets and taking photos.
